What Are the Benefits of Nature Therapy?

Nature therapy, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku or "forest bathing," is a powerful tool for enhancing mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Research shows that spending time in nature can:

  1. Reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD.
  2. Boost immune function and lower blood pressure.
  3. Promote emotional regulation and foster resilience.
  4. Enhance mood and provide a sense of calm and connection.

Whether you’re managing trauma, living with neurodiversity, or seeking a new way to find balance, nature therapy offers a supportive, holistic approach to healing.

A group program for neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD and autism. This program provides a supportive environment, connection with nature, opportunities to tune into your own body and heart, a chance to disconnect from technology, and a break from multitasking.

One-on-One Nature Therapy:

Personalized sessions designed to support your individual goals, whether mental health, mindfulness, or personal development.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy:

Combining movement and conversation, these sessions take place in Central Ottawa’s beautiful greenspaces, including the Rideau Canal and local parks.
